The app builder IT will actually approve.

Describe an app in plain words. Jig builds it on your computer with the AI you already use, keeps every project as a folder you own, and gives IT the controls they ask for.

Free for macOS, Windows and Linux.

For IT and teams

Runs Claude Code today, on your own plan or your company’s Bedrock, Vertex AI or Foundry account, with Codex and opencode as experimental engines. Jig is free, and never bills you for AI.

Jig with Dispatch Desk, the HVAC dispatch board it built, running in the preview beside the chatThe same app on a technician’s phone: today’s stops with Call, Directions and Finish job
A real Jig build: an HVAC company’s dispatch board for the office, and the same app on a technician’s phone. The logo, portraits and illustrations were generated as it built.

One sentence in. A running app out.

Five stops between your idea and a live link. These are real screens from real builds: a van maintenance log and Dispatch Desk.

  1. It asks before it builds

A few questions written for your idea, and a look-and-feel picker with eight designed themes. Your answers become a written brief, the app’s theme and a hand-picked set of vetted skills. Then the first build starts.

Jig interviewing a facilities team about a van maintenance log: who will use it day to day, and on what
  2. You read the plan first

Bigger changes arrive as a plan in plain English: the goal, the approach, the files it will touch, the risks. Approve it, edit it or throw it away. Small edits just happen.

A Jig plan for Dispatch Desk: goal, approach and the files it will touch
  3. Every step is a checkpoint

Your AI engine writes the code while Jig reports progress in plain language. Each change is saved in git, so you can keep it, undo it, or go back to any earlier point.

A finished change in Jig, with Details, Undo and Keep beside the running app
  4. Try it at every size

The running app sits beside the chat, with desktop, tablet and phone sizes. When something breaks, the error turns into a banner with Ask Jig to fix.

Dispatch Desk at phone size: a technician’s stops for the day
  5. Ship it somewhere you own

Publish to your own Netlify account, download a zip of the built site, or take a Dockerfile to your own servers.

    • NetlifyOn your account, with your token in the keychain
    • ZipThe built site, ready for any static host
    • DockerfileFor your own servers and pipelines

Why it runs on your computer

Hosted builders keep your code on their servers and sell the AI back to you as credits. Jig keeps both with you.

Your files
Every project is a plain folder and git repository under ~/Jig. Open it in VS Code, push it to your git server, or bring in projects you already have. There is nothing to export if you ever leave.
Your AI
Jig drives Claude Code on your own plan, or Claude through your company’s Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or Microsoft Foundry account. That vendor bills your usage. Jig never charges for AI.
Your keys
When the AI needs a key, it asks through a secure box in the chat. Keys are stored in your operating system’s keychain, and the AI only ever sees their names.

Follow the data. It stays put.

Here is everywhere your work can go, and the one place it never does.

  1. Your computerCode, history, previews and keys
  2. The AI provider you choseAnthropic, or your company’s own cloud account
  3. Hosting and git you ownOnly when you publish or push
  4. Jig CloudWho you are and which version you run. Never your projects, prompts, code or keys.
The Jig projects screen: every app as a card with its last request and a live preview thumbnail

Every project, one click away

Each app is a card with its last request, its plan and a running preview.

Brings in what you have
Point it at your Desktop and Documents. It gathers existing projects and writes a summary of each.
Never loses a folder
Rename or move a project and Jig marks it Moved and helps you find it, instead of dropping it.
Connections
Image generation with Gemini, OpenAI, Azure OpenAI or KIE. Code hosting on GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Gitea and more. Netlify, Vercel and Supabase.
Real images
Connect an image provider and Jig generates the logo, photos and illustrations your app needs while it builds.
Vetted skills
A library of 51 skills, each checked for license, size and hostile instructions before it goes into a project.
Project memory
Jig keeps a running summary, the decisions made and what is left to do, so the AI picks up where you left off.
Nothing hidden
Open the full engine output for any turn, with keys redacted, and see exactly what the AI was given.
Updates you approve
The desktop app checks for new versions and asks before it installs anything.

Operations builds it. IT signs off.

For the person with the problem

  • Describe it in your own words, and drop in screenshots for reference
  • Progress in plain language, with no permission prompts to decode
  • Hand the folder to a developer at any point; it is a normal repo

For the people who say yes

  • A managed policy for allowed engines, connections, git hosts and private-only repos
  • An audit log, corporate proxies and your certificate store
  • Claude through Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or Microsoft Foundry, and update control across the organization

Questions we get

Do I need to know how to code?

No. You describe what you need and answer a few questions. Developers can open the same project folder in VS Code or a terminal whenever they like.

Which AI does it use, and who pays for it?

Claude Code is the default, on your own Claude plan or through your company’s Bedrock, Vertex AI or Foundry account. OpenAI Codex and opencode are available as experimental engines. Your AI vendor bills you for usage directly. Jig never charges for AI.

Does Jig see my code, prompts or keys?

No. Your projects stay on your computer, prompts go straight from your machine to the AI provider you chose, and keys stay in your keychain. Jig Cloud only knows who you are and which version of Jig you run.

What does it run on?

macOS 12 or later on Apple Silicon or Intel, Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), and x64 Linux desktops. The desktop app can also open Jig in your browser. You also need an AI engine such as Claude Code, or an API key. See downloads.

Why do I sign in?

So we know which version you run and can offer Pro and Enterprise. Accounts are free: sign in with Google, Microsoft, GitHub or email.

What happens to my projects if I stop using Jig?

Nothing. They are ordinary folders and git repositories. Keep working on them in any editor, with any tool.

Can I bring in projects I already have?

Yes. Jig can scan your Desktop, Documents and other folders for existing projects, link or move them into Jig, and write a short summary of each one.

Your next app starts in a folder you own.

Free to download. Bring the AI you already have.
