Choose Replit if

  • You want one cloud platform for any language, from web apps to native mobile apps
  • You want databases, sign-in, publishing and domains in the same place
  • You need enterprise options like SAML SSO, SCIM or deployment into your own cloud
  • You want to work from any browser or the mobile app

Choose Jig if

  • You already pay for Claude or ChatGPT and want that plan to do the building

  • You want a guided, non-technical flow: interview, plans to approve, checkpoints
  • You want no per-request bill from the builder itself

How Jig is different

Replit gives you a computer in the cloud with an agent on it. Jig uses the computer you already have and the agent you already pay for.

  • Your AI subscription does the workJig drives Claude Code, OpenAI Codex or opencode with your own plan or key. Jig never bills for AI.
  • Local by defaultProjects, history and keys stay on your machine. Code leaves only when you push to your git or publish to your hosting.
  • Made for people who do not codeJig hides the terminal: a short interview, written plans to approve, a live preview with a fix button for errors, and undo to any point.
  • A smaller scope, on purposeJig builds web apps from a Vite and React template and publishes to Netlify, a zip or a Dockerfile today. Replit covers far more: any language, native mobile apps, databases and hosting.
  • What Jig does not haveCloud workspaces, built-in hosting and databases, SSO today, or access from a phone. Jig needs a desktop computer.
